The best and worst things about being a college student?
77College is not only about studying.....
I shall start by mentioning the worst things about being a college student.
1. Endless Assignments
Professors expect the students to learn as much as they can on their own. Hence, the need for not just one project, but sometimes a few projects in just one semester. However, as in college, a student takes more than just two or three subjects per semester, this can add up to a lot.
2. Money
At college, everything costs money. Firstly, your tuition fees. Next you have to pay for rent, food, books and so on. It is when you are a student at college, with more responsibility to manage money that you realise how important money management is. Then comes the need to find part-time jobs in order to live more comfortably.

Now, I come to the best things about being a college student
1. Freedom
Now, that you are at college, you will have the freedom to select courses which you enjoy. And if you decide to do so, you have the freedom not to attend classes. For most classes especially lectures, no attendance is taken. However, there is one thing to take note of. By not attending classes, it is assumed that you will have to catch up on your own.
2. Huge network
At college, you will meet people from different backgrounds. This will broaden your mindset and allow you mix with people whom you would not have encountered in you high school. Nevertheless, this will only be relevant if you decide to step out of your comfort zone and befriend others whom may seem strange and too different from you.
Lastly, an advice from a final year undergraduate (that's me!). Whatever you choose to study in university, do remember that your studies should not be everything. Instead, use the precious time you have at college to gain new experiences, learn soft skills and make new friends!

Good hub,
I'm lovin' college, College is primarily about education, but not completely.
a heck of a lot of growth mentally, spiritually, and relationally (Not vertically in my case, I'm 5'5" and hopefully not horizontally, massively or volumetricly.)
Hey, just thought I would make another observation that finding a way to study effectively is useful. Also, finding a job that will work around your school schedule can be hell! Lol there are a lot of hubs about college. Mine is about college too because I thought MY opinions were so valid, but yours is very well written.
Freedom really is the best thing of being a student . If you have your priorities well built in your head you'll be able to use it in your advantage and just enjoy it without taking a wrong way. I think the first year is the most important in a student's life . It's the time you can lose your head and get too crazy . Or just have the time of your life and mix pleasure with study .
I like the way it write .... I agree!!!
