Save Money While Exploring Singapore

Among Asian countries, Singapore is one of the countries with a high living costs. Other countries/cities would include Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong. However, if you are travelling to Singapore or staying here, there are still some free and really cheap things to do in Singapore.

1. Watch a Free Performance at the Esplanade

A list of free performances at the Esplanade are available on their website. You can go through the calendar in order not to miss interesting performances. Most of these events are held during weekends only though. Besides music, you can also view free art exhibitions at the Esplanade. These exhitions are frequently changed and there is usually an interesting installation along the walkway from Citylink Mall to the Esplanade.

Gardens By The Bay

2. Visit Gardens By The Bay

The Gardens By the Bay is a new attraction in Singapore as it was just opened in mid 2012. You will be happy to know that entrance to the Outdoor Gardens is free. It is also quite impossible to miss the sight of the Gardens if you are near Marina Bay Sands. Please note that if you plan to visit the Cooled Conservatories and OCBC Skyway that you will need to pay in order to enter. Currently there are two different rates for local residents and tourists. A more economical option would be to look out for coupons which have deals for combined visits to the Singapore Flyer and the Gardens By The Bay.

In order to get to the museum, you can take the MRT and stop at Bras Basah station.
